Jeff’s professional career began at Edgewood College where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Broadfield Social Studies.  He then went on to receive a Masters degree in Coaching Education and Athletic Administration from Ohio University.

At the community level, Jeff has served as a Crivitz Village Board Trustee and even got to be President in 2021.  He has been a volunteer coach for many years within Crivitz Youth Baseball, Oconto River Rebel Softball, Mid County Crush Baseball, and Crivitz Youth Basketball.  Since 2010, Jeff has filled the important role of Crivitz Youth Basketball Assistant Tournament Director helping coordinate officials.  He has also mentored over 50 high school students in sports officiating as a WIAA Certified Official in the sports of football, volleyball, basketball and baseball.

Jeff has been recognized as a top official in the sports of basketball and baseball, and as a result has been assigned WIAA State Basketball games 4 times and has umpired Legion Baseball State Tournament games in both Wisconsin and Michigan.  In total, the WIAA has assigned him to officiate over 70 WIAA postseason events.  This fall, Jeff was inducted into the Green Bay Officials Association Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2023.  He is a conference representative to the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association, and spent 9 years as the Assignor for the Green Bay Officials Association for non-varsity basketball games.

For WADA, Jeff has filled many roles on behalf of District 2 including Scholarship Committee member, Gender Representative, and District Representative.  With that, he’s been a member of the WIAA’s Sports Advisory Committee where he was just recently elected to serve as chairperson.  Jeff is heavily involved in the NIAAA’s Leadership Training Institute and serves as WADA’s Assistant State LTI Coordinator.  In this role, he’s been able to attend the NIAAA State LTI Coordinators Conference twice.  Jeff has also been an instructor within the LTI program here in Wisconsin.  You may have also seen Jeff presenting at this WADA Conference, as he’s done that twice too.
